Quantitative Techniques and Machine Learning in Health Care Management

Quantitative techniques and machine learning are methods used to strengthen data-driven decision-making processes, enhance operational efficiency, and improve the quality of healthcare management. Quantitative techniques encompass tools such as statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and data mining. When applied in healthcare management, these techniques provide valuable insights for monitoring hospital performance, efficiently managing resources, and optimizing service delivery. In preparing this book, our priority was to demonstrate the application steps of selected quantitative techniques in decision-making processes across various areas of healthcare management, using diverse data sources. By highlighting the application areas and steps of these techniques in healthcare management, we aimed to show how managers, researchers, and decision-makers can gain useful insights into real-world problems using quantitative techniques. We strived to create content that is both theoretical and practical, providing a comprehensive understanding of the application domains and steps of quantitative techniques in healthcare management. Our goal is to make the book beneficial to all academics, researchers, and students working in the field, and we hope it contributes to obtaining valuable insights into real-world problems using quantitative techniques.
