Particleboard Industry

The development of wood-based composite materials has revolutionised the use of wood in the last 100 years. With the development of wood composites, wood materials have been used in many structural and non-structural applications in indoor and outdoor spaces from furniture-decoration to building-bridge construction.

Among wood-based composites, particleboard has the largest production and consumption rate. The acceptance of particleboard in this way is due to the fact that low quality wood raw materials and wood wastes can be used in production; its surfaces can be coated with various decorative materials and widely used in furniture and decoration works; its price is lower than solid wood; it has a relatively homogeneous structure; it can be produced in large sizes and different thicknesses.

It is our greatest wish that this book will be useful to our students, particleboard producers, practitioners and colleagues.
